Shailesh is a Partner in the Pahal Health Fund, focusing on growth stage social enterprises improving health outcomes. He has more than 14 years of experience in impact investing and social enterprises. He has executed several impact investment deals, both on the buy as well as sell side.

Previously, he led the Impact Investments portfolio at DFID India managing its first investment - Samridhi Fund, where he was involved from sourcing, due-diligence, negotiation, structuring to final decision making in the Investment Committee. He led investments and business planning at India’s pioneer social enterprise group - BASIX. He worked for Intellecap, which pioneered social investment banking in India. He has valuable operational experience from his initial work in microfinance. 
Shailesh studied management at the Indian Institute of Forest Management and MPA (Finance & Fiscal Policy) from Cornell University, USA as a Fulbright Fellow in Leadership Development.
