Swati joined Breakthrough as Director, Research and Evaluation in 2022. An economist by training, Swati has 22 years of experience in Research, Monitoring and Evaluation in the field of Gender-Based Violence, Education, HIV-AIDS, Sex trafficking, Livelihood, and Property rights of Women across India and South Asia. Before joining Breakthrough, she has worked with various reputed organizations like ARD.INC, ICRW, CORD, OXFAM.

At the Research and Evaluation Centre in Breakthrough, her primary responsibilities include building the vertical, developing new and improving existing research and evaluation opportunities and tools, developing evaluation design and protocol, data management system and analysis. She oversees and manages concurrent and other project evaluation deployment, data analysis, and reporting. Additionally, Swati guides employees on effective use of tools and methodology for evaluation.

Her role also encompasses supporting business development, proposal and report writing, and collaboration across teams and organizations.
