The AVPN Global Conference is the largest social investing convening in Asia that gathers funders and resource providers from across the world to share knowledge, build strategic partnerships, and address socio-economic challenges at scale.
Wendy has over a decade’s experience in international cultural exchange, cultural diplomacy and education, and promoting understanding and strengthening connections between people of different cultures. She has worked with diverse stakeholders from government officials to civil society partners to build strategic partnerships and cultivate collaborative opportunities. As the Manager in the Singapore International Foundation (SIF)’s Impact Networks unit, she develops multi-sectorial partnerships and cultural programmes to leverage the arts and culture for social impact. One of the key programmes is the annual Arts for Good Fellowship that fosters an international community of arts practitioners to harness the power of arts and culture to create positive social change. Prior to joining the SIF, she was an educator and consultant who specialised in language and cross-cultural education with extensive experiences in government institutions in Singapore and Japan on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) programme. She had the privilege of facilitating cultural and language exchanges and peace advocacy with Peace Boat, an international Japan-based NGO, on an around the world voyage. Experienced in playing the dual role of promoting Singapore and Japan, she is passionate about grass-root internalisation and enhancing ties between Singapore and international communities to promote sustainable development on a global scale.
