Market of Implementation

  • India

Problem

Approximately 40% of India’s children risk losing out on healthy and happy childhoods. The nation faces alarming issues like:
  • 33 million child laborers under the age of 18,
  • 1 in 4 children dropping out of school (Census 2011),
  • increase in crimes against children by 500%,
  • frequent migration,
  • impoverished parents unable to focus on children’s learning and developmental needs,
  • deprive children of age-appropriate growth, adversely affecting their mental well-being.

Solution

Toybank sets up Play2Centers in partnership with government schools, shelter homes, community-based organizations and NGOs engaged with children from vulnerable communities. Here, Play2Learn Sessions involving board games and play activities are curated for children to have safe, engaging and joyful play experiences crucial to their development. Impacting 56,000+ children through 400+ Play Centers, we strive to change every at-risk child’s perspective towards life in their adulthood.
