We are thrilled to announce the second year of the Future Food Asia Award. Our team was humbled by the reception we received for last year’s event and we hope to push a step further as we broaden our horizon of the award by adding new sub-sectors and gaining the support of both current and new ecosystem partners.
Our mission remains unchanged: To recognize the leading AgriTech and FoodTech start-ups across Asia Pacific. Prizes of up to SGD 340,000 in total will be granted to the most promising startups.
We believe the time is now to help and recognize the innovators building solutions for fragile food ecosystem in attempt to address one of the most pressing challenges of our century: the Future of Food.
To cater to an expanding landscape of innovations, FFAA 2018 has carved 5 new application categories: Agri Marketplaces, Agri Finance, Food Fortification, Smart Manufacturing Technologies and Smart Packaging Solutions.
WHAT IS FUTURE FOOD ASIA AWARD?
FFAA is the 1st-of-its-kind regional startup competition recognizing the leading AgriTech and FoodTech start-ups across Asia Pacific. Last year’s competition generated an overwhelming response, with startups from 19 different countries from the wider Asia Pacific region applying.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
To qualify, applicants need to have done a proof-of-concept and come up with an innovative and sustainable technology that impacts the food ecosystem positively. More details on our eligibility criteria can be found here.
WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?
Winner of FFAA will be awarded the grand prize of USD 100K, and there would be an additional four winners of the S$50,000 Startup SG grants sponsored by SPRING Singapore. 2017 finalists benefited immensely from the exposure as well as from the access to corporations, investors, media, advisors and government agencies across the region.
WHEN DO APPLICATIONS OPEN?
Now. The application form can be found here, and we advise the startups to apply early. The final award will be held in Singapore in the third week of May 2018.
