Southeast Asia Social Investment Summit 2021

PAST EVENT
The Asian Decade
The spotlight is on Southeast Asia as it plans to reignite the economy sustainably, with a focus on sociopreneurship, future skilling, and ecotourism. This is an opportunity for social investors - from philanthropists to investors, corporates to policymakers, researchers to entrepreneurs - to take advantage of the fluid developments in the region, and unlock its full potential in the next decade.
While there are deep concerns of contracting economies, food insecurity and healthcare insufficiencies, social investors have the impetus to collaborate, share knowledge, and build the region for impactful social innovation.
We welcomed about 680 attendees, including online, in-person in Singapore, and in-person in Indonesia. We had 80+ speakers and 20+ sessions, along with 12 partners.

VOICE OF OUR MEMBERS
The Asian Decade
The Covid-19 pandemic has upended our lives over the past months. We live in challenging times and there is certainly much to be frustrated about - Lives are lost, health and safety are a concern and restrictions prevent us from meeting one another in person.
However, as the saying goes: We can be the change we wish to see.
AVPN recently met up with some of our members across Southeast Asia to find out what some of our members are doing to not only build back better but also build forward better.
If irritated oysters can make pearls, what are passionate, frustrated, determined, and innovative social investors able to create in response?
