Nutrition International, in collaboration with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), NITI Aayog, UNICEF and other partners, is hosting the third India-focused implementation research conference on “Delivering for Nutrition in India: Insights from Implementation Research” from September 15-18, 2020.
Coinciding with the national nutrition month for India or Poshan Maah, this event will see experts discussing abstracts on research studies and implementation programs focused on the core pillars of POSHAN Abhiyaan, India’s National Nutrition Mission, and platforms supporting actions for nutrition. The selected studies primarily focus on aspects such as – food supplementation, growth monitoring and micronutrient supplementation with a special focus on the impact of crisis situations, like COVID-19 pandemic, on nutrition interventions and programming. The panelists will consist of academicians, implementers, development partners, and policy makers from multiple institutes who will deliberate on how insights from implementation research can help strengthen maternal and child nutrition initiatives in India.
In addition to the conference, there is a series of pre-conference learning workshops scheduled on September 14, 2020. These workshops aim to promote learning and capacity building around implementation research. Owing to the interactive style of these workshops, there are limited spots available for the registration.
